Setup Google AdSense in WordPress Using Site Kit (2025)


Step 1: Prepare Your Website

Make sure your website meets these minimum AdSense requirements:

2: Manual Meta Tag (if Site Kit shows error)

Follow these:

  1. Copy the meta tag from AdSense (looks like this):

  2. Add it to your site using plugin:

    • Go to Plugins > Add New

    • Search and install “Insert Headers and Footers”

Step 6: Submit Site for Review

  • Site Kit automatically places the AdSense code on your site.

  • Now your site is in review mode by Google.

  • Google may take 1–14 days (sometimes more) to approve.


Step 7: Keep Working While Waiting

  • Keep your site active

  • Continue publishing useful blog posts or pages

  • Do not remove Site Kit or make major changes


Step 8: Get Approved & Start Showing Ads

Once approved:

  • Ads will automatically start showing (Auto Ads enabled by default)

  • You can manage ad settings inside AdSense account directly

  • Inside WordPress, go to Site Kit > AdSense to view performance
